Lifeline Program
If you are currently on Food Stamps/TX EBT Cardholder, and your income is below a certain level, you may qualify for FREE or low-cost home or cell phone service for you or a member of your family through the Federal Lifeline Program, which serves nearly 13 million Americans.
The Lifeline Program helps to lower the monthly cost of phone and internet service. Eligible customers will get at least $9.25 toward their monthly bill. You can only use Lifeline for either phone or internet service, but not both.

Free Texas State Park Admission
Texas has over 89 beautiful parks across the state. Typically, a yearly pass to access any state park costs $70.
However, eligible Texas households can access the Texas Parklands Passport for FREE!
Individuals that qualify for a Free Texas State Park Pass include:
- Seniors over the age of 65
- Disabled Veterans
- Disabled Individuals

Houston Zoo Discount for Lone Star EBT
The Houston Zoo offers a special discount to Lone Star EBT Cardholders. For just $8 per ticket (child and adult), guests with a Lone Star Card can purchase up to two adult and three child tickets at the discounted rate.
Other group members that exceed the two adult, three child limit will need to purchase a ticket at regular admission price.
Ticket reservations must be made online. Guests must present their Lone Star card at the Zoo Entrance Gate for verification.
This discount only applies to daytime admission to the Zoo.
